Announcing the New Baby Beaver (BB4)

Big Power in a Compact Package

We’re excited to introduce the newest addition to the Limb Beaver family: the Baby Beaver BB4. Based on valuable customer feedback and real-world needs, the Baby Beaver delivers impressive reach and cutting power in a lightweight, transport-friendly unit. If you’re looking for a fast, efficient, and safe way to handle limbing, brush, and overgrowth — especially in tight spaces — the Baby Beaver is built for you.

Compact, Versatile & Reach-Ready

Despite its compact size, the Baby Beaver packs a surprising punch. Weighing in at around 265 pounds and folding to a transport size of about 59” high × 19” long × 64” wide, it fits easily on compact tractors and mini skid steers — and storage or transport is simple.

When deployed, the Baby Beaver delivers:

  • A cutting reach up to 198 inches vertically (when mounted on a loader at a 9-foot dump-pin height).
  • A horizontal reach of roughly 110 inches from the center.
  • Ability to tilt the cutting head to 45° below horizontal, ideal for working on ditch banks, slopes, or uneven terrain.

This reach and flexibility make the BB4 an excellent solution for clearing trails, fence lines, right-of-ways, overgrown properties, and other awkward or hard-to-reach areas where larger attachments (or bushhogs or chainsaws) simply don’t fit or would be inefficient.

Powerful Cutting Where It Matters

The Baby Beaver isn’t just about reach — it’s about getting work done reliably. It’s designed to cut through limbs and brush up to 3 inches in diameter (with some users reporting success on slightly larger branches).

With a sturdy, American-made steel build and simple hydraulic drive compatible with most compact loaders and tractors, the Baby Beaver brings the durability and ruggedness you expect — without the weight or bulk of larger forestry attachments.

Operators get all this functionality while still being able to manage handheld or small-machine jobsides with ease. That means quicker, safer clearing with less effort and less downtime.

A Safer, More Efficient Alternative to Chainsaws and Manual Labor

For decades, clearing limbs and brush often meant chainsaws, climbing, and ladders — all of which carry risk and slow progress dramatically. The Baby Beaver changes that equation. Because the cutter is mounted and operated from the safety of the loader or skid steer cab (or while standing on the loader), there’s no need for dangerous climbing or hand-held cutting in precarious positions.

What normally might take hours with labor-intensive methods can now be completed in a fraction of the time, with consistent results and far less fatigue for the operator.

Perfect for Small Acreage, Farms, and Tight Jobsites

Thanks to its size and versatility, the Baby Beaver is ideal for:

  • Farms clearing fence lines, windbreaks, and pasture edges
  • Residential, recreational, and rural properties with brush or overgrowth
  • Utility right-of-ways, easements, and rural roads where space is limited
  • Parks, trails, and hunting properties needing periodic maintenance
  • Any job demanding precision trimming, quick setup, and efficient cleanup

In short: anywhere a full-size cutter is overkill — or where maneuverability and ease matter most.

Why the Baby Beaver Matters

The Baby Beaver proves that sometimes smaller is better. In an industry where bigger often means heavier, more expensive, and less maneuverable, the BB4 delivers smart engineering that empowers operators to get more done with less — less machine, less hassle, less time.

For landowners, farmers, municipalities, and contractors working smaller-scale jobs or navigating tight spaces, the Baby Beaver offers a way to upgrade productivity, safety, and efficiency without investing in oversized or overpowered equipment.
